I had my sweet babe at 39+3 and here is my POSITIVE birth story…💫🧸🩵 My water broke but contractions never started on their own (didn’t even consider this scenario!?) so I needed a little Pitocin boost to get things moving !!
One of the biggest surprises was my epidural. With my first birth, I had an epidural but still felt everything. This time was completelyyyy different !!
My labor didn’t unfold exactly how I expected but it ended up being SUCH a positive experience ✨
This chalk paint actually kept Demi busy for so long !! 🎨 And honestly, it was kind of therapeutic for me too 😂
Even though I’m still recovering at just 2 weeks postpartum, I’ve never been so happy to have my body back and not be pregnant anymore 🦋☕️💛 My recent pregnancy reallyyy humbled me 😂 Being able to move, bend, get off the couch, and keep up with Demi again feels pretty amazing !!
Where you can find me all summer long 🫶🏼🤱🏼🌼 Being a second-time mama has given me a completely different perspective. The 1st time felt scary —the nights made me anxious, every unknown felt big, and I spent so much time googling & wondering if I was doing everything right. This time there’s confidence & so much joy. Living for slow mornings, porch feeds, fresh air, and all the little moments that go by too fast. 💫 And if we’re rating experiences, Josh and I both agreed baby #2 has been a solid 10/10 & a muchhhh easier adjustment thus far.

(& no, I’m not bringing any postpartum supplies bc I used and preferred everything they gave me last time anyway + who knows what kind of birth I’ll have !! Maybe I’ll toss a diaper in the car for the ride home lol)

🧸 @medela manual pump – grabbed this for quick relief, car situations etc. when I don’t want to deal with a full setup. I’ve heard so many good things and every second-time mom says they don’t know how they lived without it the first time !!
🧸 @nanit parent unit – now that we have 2 Nanits, we liked the idea of the split screen & think it will be more convenient for babysitters + not having to rely on our phones 24/7.
🧸 @wishgardenherbs AfterEase — I’ve heard cramping can be more of a thing after your first???? (I didn’t experience it with Demi but someone lmk how bad it is) so I wanted to have this JIC.
🧸 @eufybaby S1 wearable breast pump - got these through my insurance and I’m excited about them because they consistently popped up during my research. I used my last set constantlyyyy… at home, doing dishes, laundry, commuting, at work… !! IDK how anyone survives without them.
🧸 @mabecarriers – I didn’t really use a carrier much the first time but with a toddler this feels essential. I have some other options from when Demi was little but this one is highly rated (and so cute) !!
🧸 @momcozy bottle washer + sterilizer – something I never had with my first but already know will save so much time. I love that it does it all in one swing —having a dishwasher is just not the same when it comes to keeping bottles, pump parts, pacifiers, & syringes on constant rotation.
