It’s hump day again & let’s just say that this chick…. is one. happy. chick. I got cancelled from work early this morning so I’m headed to the beach for my birthday a day early! I can smell the salty air from here. I haven’t been to a beach town since I lived in Ocean City, MD a few summers ago so I’m super excited to re-live the glory days. Yeah, all-inclusive out-of-the-country resorts are fabulous and all but there’s nothing like a simple beach vacay– a long road trip filled with good music, snacks & pit stops (en route now!), soakin’ up the sun without a care in the world, perusing the boardwalk & buying random junk, going on homemade donut hunts (maybe that’s just me?), exploring new breakfast dives, & simply living easy.
Anywho, I obviously over packed but there are a few necessities that I wouldn’t dare forget >> here are a few of them:
SPF ++ lather up or leather up, people.
the perfect SUIT for you ++ who cares what’s trending right now…. find what fits your body type & pick that
Bumble & bumble SURF SPRAY ++ maybe I can get away with not washing my hair a few nights at the beach (shh)
NUDE NAILS ++ equals tan fingies & toes
a nice big FLOPPY HAT ++ had my eye on this snazzy hat since it came to stores. yes, please
a pop of color CLUTCH ++ this is my attempt at cheating on my boyfriend-color (black)
the WET BRUSH ++ this is 1 thing that I don’t know how I managed before it. Nothing angers me more than knotty hair.
a 10-something priced pair of SUNNIES ++ because let’s face it, I’ll probably ruin or lose these by the end of the week.
a flowy COVERUP ++ so necessary for mid-day lunching & boardwalking
bright spicy LIPS ++ because why not
