I stumbled across the Stones & Seams instagram a few months ago & immediately fell in love with their edgy collection. We hooked up to do a collab & I’m so excited to spread the news about these chicks!

Hey girls! So excited to have you & your fab creations on the DDD! Go ahead and introduce yourself.
Tell us about Stones & Seams.
How & when did you get started in the world of designing ? What is the low-down/story behind S&S ?
>>> B: Ashley and I have always been into fashion, clothing & accessories. I would say we started seriously putting our pieces together about 3 years ago, and haven’t stopped ever since. We started creating custom pieces for ourselves and friends and it just kind of grew from there. We are so fortunate and thankful for our customer base, and the best part of all of this is making new friends along the way!
What inspires your creations ?
>>> A: So many things inspire me in designing & creating. Nature plays a big part in my creativity. I just love mixing textures, colors and metals! Basically I’m inspired daily by anything that catches my eye.
>>> B: I find inspiration from everything around me, nature, desserts, the sunset… anything really!
Do you ever find that as sisters, you have different opinions / ideas / visions for S&S ? How do you bring both personalities into 1 brand ?
>>> A: I think that’s what makes our brand so unique. It’s not just one specific style or one designer making all the decisions. We bring both of our ideas and personal styles together to create our collections.
Are you gals working on any projects right now ? What can we expect of S&S in the future ?
>>> B: We are currently working on our spring/summer & Bridal 15′ collection. These collections are full of rich creamy colors. Very sexy & feminine. We can’t wait to share!
Aside from your own collection, where else do you shop online ? I love both of your styles.
>>> A: Aw! Thank you, you’re so sweet! I love to shop at Zara, Anthropologie and ASOS. They have amazing staple pieces that aren’t super trendy, so you can wear them for years down the road. I try to invest in good quality items so I can keep them around for awhile. Although I do find some great inexpensive things at F21, Old Navy & Target! That’s the amazing thing about fashion, you can find pieces just about anywhere if you really look.
