Alright everyone — I know you’re probably thinking holy crap that is AYY-LOTT of makeup.
But let’s be real, after all of the steps we ladies take to put our face on for a night out, the products can pile up quickly (boys: it’s scary, we know).
So do I wear all of this junk on the daily? Fudge no. Around the house you’ll find me natural nancy and for work/errands/lunch, I usually just dab on some powder/bronzer and swipe on a little mascara.
Here are the makeup products I’m using as of lately & in order of how I would apply. (don’t forget this is ONLY for a night out — and even in that case I may leave out a few of these depending on where I’m going!)
Ready, set, go.
MY BASIC FOUNDATION PRODUCTS:
Hourglass Primer – I have found that priming is one of the most crucial steps of my makeup process. By the end of a long day (or should I say night), I can definitely count on this specific primer to keep my face on.
MAC Face/Body Foundation in N2 + MAC Brush #188 – This product has been around since nam’ but I guess I was hiding under a large rock. BUT, I swear I will never use anything else from now on. It’s light and DEWY but not too dewy, you know?! Hooked.
NARS Creamy Concealer in Ginger + MAC Brush #188 – Buhbyes coon eyes.
Tarte Matte Waterproof Bronzer + Sephora Brush #44 – I’m allllll about matte products. Any product that makes me look like I smothered a 6th grade glitter roll-ball on my face can just take their spot in my garbage.
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Medium Golden + Sephora Brush #44 – I use this by itself like I said up above or on top of the face/body foundation for a more matte finish.
TO CONTOUR:
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Dark Tan + MAC Brush #168 – I just recently learned to contour and I guess I can say I’m moderately obsessed. Even my Dad and Chad noticed my new makeup routine (in a good way, hehe). With this product I just apply it lightly on the outer part of my cheek bones then blend the line inward. I also brush along my jawline and around my forehead. I save my bronzer for last when contouring so I don’t look too oompa-loopa.
NARS Blush in Sin – Such a gorg purple color. My go-to.
MAC Cream Highlighter in Pearl – I use an old eyeshadow brush and apply this above my cheek bone, the insides of my eyes, under my brow bone, down the center of my nose, and on my cupid’s bow.
FOR THE EYES:
Lash Curler – Any brand will work but I truly do not understand people who don’t curl. I would be lost.
Lancome Oscillation Lash Primer – Remember those double sided mascaras circa 08′? Well I’m bringing’ it back.
Make Up Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara OR Tarte Gifted Mascara – These do the job for me.
Stila Eye Liner – Liquid is tricky but the bomb.com.
FOR THE BROWS:
Anastasia Brow Kit for Brunettes – I’ve never used anything else So0o yeah – love it.
