Well I must admit that this time Chad was actually the one who introduced me to dandelion tea. Usually I’m the one who is discovering all of the cool new health tips & tricks… but this time I owe all credit to him (thanks C.Money!)

When you think of dandelions you probably think of little yellow flowers / weeds, right? But they are actually used for flushing & detoxing the bod. Jillian Michael’s even has a cleanse which includes dandelion tea as one of the key ingredients (read more on these types of detoxes here).

Dandelions are actually pretty impressive for just being an underrated weed — the plant contains tons of vitamins & minerals such as A, B, C, D, iron, potassium, & zinc!

SOME REASONS I DRINK DANDELION ROOT TEA (& according to webMD):

+ it’s a natural diuretic — it increases urine production (& helps to prevent UTIs)

+ it helps to regulate the bowels (laxative effects)

+ it decreases swelling / inflammation

+ it helps with joint pain & muscle aches

+ it reduces gas (aka embarrassing “bubble-guts”)

+ it acts as a skin toner & helps with certain skin conditions (i.e. eczema)

So why not drink dandelion root tea??? Especially if it’s served in a cute lil’ cozy mug & has all of those awesome health benefits. I know I’m definitely going to keep this tea in stock from here on out…
