If acai bowls aren’t trending right now, I don’t know WTH is.
Never heard of it? It’s basically a smoothie bowl but super-duper good for you. Acai is rich in anti-oxidants, boosts energy, contains fiber, and is heart-healthy.
+ 1 frozen unsweetened acai packet (I found these at my local Whole Foods)
+ 1/2 banana
+ 1 cup frozen mixed berries
+ 1/4 cup unsweetened almond/coconut milk
+ sliced kiwi
+ sliced banana
+ sliced strawberries
+ unsweetened coconut chips
I saved half of this for tomorow but you can definitely shamelessly eat the whole thing.
Now be careful not to go too crazy on your toppings or you’ll ruin the idea of keeping it skinni-mini. I’ve seen so many people claim to be on “diet” yet they make their smoothies with orange juice, 3 pounds of fruit, peanut butter, etc. etc. Ha…try again!
Yes, fruit is healthy but there ARE some general guidelines. Remember, fruit contains sugar. I try to steer clear of dried fruits & high-carb fruits, limit my intake to about a cup and a half a day, and always try to eat it before 4 or 5 pm.
